Steven Van den Berghe

Steven Van den Berghe studied Germanic languages at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and he graduated with a master's thesis on the representation of foreigners in the (Flemish) press between 1998 and 2000. In February 2005, he started a Ph.D. thesis on 'the language of taste'. This research is part of a broader research project that will explore Belgian (European) culture and identities in the 19th and 20th centuries.
He is also a member of UtMOST, a research group that explores language, language teaching, multilingualism, and the working of the brain.
