Hans Vandevoorde

Hans Vandevoorde teaches Dutch Literature at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He studied Dutch and German at the University of Ghent, where he obtained his Ph.D. in 2002 with a dissertation on allegory in the work of Karel van de Woestijne. Currently, he is one of the coordinators of the Centre for the Study of Experimental Literature (CEL/SEL) and president of the Centre for Literature, Intermediality and Culture (CLIC). His FOST research focuses on the cultural history and representation of cafés in the nineteenth and twentieth century.
